Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise, try homemade mayonnaise
  • Optional – not in the UK version - 1 small dill pickle, chopped very small (3 tablespoons) or may try “bread and butter” style pickle
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, plus more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon capers, chopped
  • ½ a red onion grated or Shallot
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley or 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard, optional
  • Salt and fresh ground black pepper

Directions

  • Stir until the mixture is blended.
  • Refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes. It gets better and better overtime.
  • You can swap the mayonnaise for light mayo or plain yogurt.
